Trevibban Mill - Black Ewe Rosé
" Trevibban Mill takes its name from the remnants of an old mill that sits unnoticed amongst the woods near our lake. It was the mill that first attracted owners Liz and Engin to the site where we think the miller, who lived here in the 18th century, processed the farm’s oats and barley for flour. Originally intended as a restoration project, it wasn’t long before Liz and Engin’s vision for the site at Trevibban grew into something more ambitious. Today we have 11,000 vines, 1,700 apple trees and a state of the art winery, cellar, tasting room and events venue all under one large roof.
Being Organic, there are strict limitations on what type of chemicals we can use in the vineyard and winery and our philosophy is one of minimal intervention. In the vineyard we take exceptional care to limit the risks of trunk and fungal diseases with continual and regular observation of the vines and weather. With adroit training, pruning and canopy management throughout the growing season, the vines produce beautiful clean berries with optimal sugar ripeness without the need for man-made chemicals."
